Painted churches of Texas

This is St Mary's Catholic church in High Hill. It is built on nine acres deeded to the church in 1868. It is a classic example of the Gothic revival style with its beautiful artwork and stained glass windows. The churches and there about 15 are painted bt itinerant laborers and the colors are as vivid today as they were over 100 years ago.

Lavender Monastery

Ritzville

This is the Zion Philadelphia United chrich of Christ. Founded June 3rd 1888 and is on the Historical Register. Many, many buildings in Ritzville Wa. are on the Register. At one time Ritzville was the wheat capital of Washington and it still is king.

Church in the woods

This is a newer Church but I like its location. You go down a long wooded dirt road and in the woods is the church and a statue.

Island Church

Vaness, (Beach Girl) was visiting Ocracoke Island and sent me this church she photographed. It is the Oracoke Island (NC) Methodist Church circa 1880. Very nice. Thank you Vanessa
