Painted churches of Texas

This is St Mary's Catholic church in High Hill. It is built on nine acres deeded to the church in 1868. It is a classic example of the Gothic revival style with its beautiful artwork and stained glass windows. The churches and there about 15 are painted bt itinerant laborers and the colors are as vivid today as they were over 100 years ago.

Lovely church, MB.

Just popped into Laura's place and saw your dh had a stroke. Wanted to say I'm so sorry and hopefully things are going okay for you. Life got real rough for my grandmother when grandpa had his stroke. Hugs, and you'll be in my prayers!

An amazing church, I have never seen one like it. Surprising as I am Catholic and live in Europe. Beautiful, thank you.
