New uses

This Church in Mount Vernon, Washington was built in the early 1900s and is now a Wedding chaple, a coffee/cinnamon shop and a home. It is still beautiful. MB

I would love to be able to stop for coffee here!! I have been doing some interviewing of small town ministers during my travels. Eventually, I would love to see if someone wants them for a recurring column. Your pictures are lovely.

I love when new uses are found, for all older buildings.

Especially churches, since they are so unique in design. Such a waste to lose them. Congratulations to those who re-claim them!

Around these parts, big churches are made into condos or apartments or whatever. But the outside is mostly left in tact. I love it!

I would love to restore an old church into a home. What a cute place!

I wish I had taken pictures of all the old "vintage" churches in Virginia when I lived there. Some were so quaint! I lived across the street from one old country church that had a grave yard next to it. I would walk through it, reading the headstones, etc. Such great history in these churches! Thanks for sharing these! Cora

I've really enjoyed visiting your "Holy Houses" blog. It's wonderful!

I've a couple photos of churches here in Alaska that you might enjoy. I could email them to you if you're interested. Let me know.
