The past remains



This is the Fir/Conway Lutheran Church built in the 1800s. The town of Fir built on the banks of the Skagit River burned to the ground in1893--the only building left is the church. Conway is right across the river and still exists. I don't know what happened to the smaller church but the house you see in the background is still there.
